The semiconductor industry demands ever-higher precision and efficiency in wafer inspection processes. To meet the requirements of advanced manufacturing, inspection and measurement systems must manage substantial data throughput while operating in environments with 24VDC power supplies. This creates challenges for systems requiring 48-54VDC power for PoE+ devices. These conditions necessitated a robust and innovative network solution to ensure reliable performance and seamless integration.

SOLUTION PROVIDED
ATOP's EHG65xx series was identified as the ideal solution to meet the customer's requirements for reliable PoE+ functionality, with the EHG6508-8PoE-24V specifically selected for its boosted PoE capability. While the EH3408 and EHG2408 models do not support PoE+, they offer essential managed features such as VLAN, RSTP, and QoS, making them cost-effective options for the customer’s network infrastructure.
During pilot testing conducted on the customer's premises, alongside specialists from Axtek, ATOP, and the customer, it was confirmed that the EHG65xx switches outperformed competitor solutions.
